Support
One person makes Tutur Notes, and the same person answers the email. There is no ticket queue and no chatbot.
Email us
Bugs, questions, feature requests, complaints, or a note to say the app helped — all of it goes to the same address, and a person reads it.
{{supportEmail}}What to put in your message
You do not have to do any of this — a one-line email is fine. But if something is broken, these four things usually turn two exchanges into one:
- Your app version, from Settings, at the bottom of the screen
- Your iOS version and device, from iOS Settings → General → About
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
- A screenshot, if there is anything to see — with anything private cropped out. We would rather not see your journal.
Things you can fix right now
My journal is not syncing between devices
Sync runs on Apple's iCloud, so it needs a few things to be true at once:
- Both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account.
- Sync to iCloud is switched on in the app's Settings, on both devices.
- iCloud Drive is on in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
- Your iCloud storage is not full — a full account silently stops syncing.
- Both devices have a working connection. Sync is not instant; give it a minute with the app open and the device unlocked.
If the app's Settings shows a message saying iCloud is on but unavailable, that text is the reason iOS gave us. Send it to us and we can usually say what it means.
My reminders are not arriving
- Check iOS Settings → Tutur Notes → Notifications, and make sure Allow Notifications is on.
- Check that a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb is not silencing them at the hour you chose.
- Open the thread, check its reminder cadence is not set to Off.
- If you declined the notification prompt when it first appeared, iOS will not ask again — you have to switch it on in iOS Settings yourself.
The app lock is not asking for Face ID
- The lock is off by default. Switch it on in the app's Settings.
- Face ID must be set up and permitted for Tutur Notes in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode.
- If Face ID fails repeatedly, iOS falls back to your device passcode by design.
I cannot attach a photo, record a voice note, or add a place
Each of those needs a permission that you can grant or revoke at any time in iOS Settings → Tutur Notes. If you said no the first time, that is where you change your mind. The rest of the app keeps working regardless.
I want a copy of my journal
Settings → Export everything, then pick plain text
(.txt) for something readable or .json for
something a program can parse. The share sheet lets you send it to Files,
Mail, or anywhere else.
Worth doing every so often. We hold no copy of your journal, so an export is the only backup that exists outside your device and your iCloud.
I want my data deleted
Delete the app and the local journal goes with it. If you used iCloud sync, also remove the app's data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. There is no account on our side to close, and nothing for us to delete — the Privacy Policy explains why.
I deleted something by accident
We are sorry — it cannot be recovered. There is no server copy and no trash. If you have an older export, or a device backup from before the deletion, those are the only routes back.
Accessibility
Tutur Notes follows your system text size, and adds its own bubble text size control in Settings on top of it. It works with VoiceOver, respects Reduce Motion, and can be forced to light or dark independently of the device.
If something is hard to use with an assistive technology, please tell us. It is a bug, we treat it as one, and reports like that get answered first.
Feature requests
Send them. Tutur Notes is deliberately small, and the answer is often "no, that would make it heavier" — but knowing what people reach for is how the next version gets decided, and several things in the app came from an email like yours.
